Berta "Amarone" Grappa Tra Noi

Amarone, the variety of Valpolicella, is made from grapes considered too imperfect to be used for wine. Considered the "heart of the grape", the skins and seeds provide a more bitter and intense flavor than other red wines. In 1956, Benito and Maria Berta decided to produce this wine in the artisanal manner using copper vats, which are now characterized by family tradition. Grappa Tra Noi Amarone is a partially dehydrated grape must of Valpolicella as well as white grape varieties after fermentation using the traditional method that does not lead to distillation.
