DESCRIPTION OF LAMBRUSCO MARCELLO
Ariola's Lambrusco Grand Cru “Marcello” is a wine with a lively and fresh profile , which impresses with its olfactory richness and its immediacy and ease of drinking. It contains in itself a “very rare amount of technique, passion and nature”; it is a light and fragrant Lambrusco and at the same time deep and long. Marcello Ariola is a jewel of the Emilian lands, which year after year has conquered critics and obtained several national and international awards and recognitions. At first considered as a popular and little esteemed wine, today it has carved out a place among the most symbolic wines of our entire peninsula, making itself appreciated for its spontaneity and simplicity. The Ariola winery, founded in 1956, is located on the hills between Felino and Langhirano, in the heart of the Food Valley and the Doc Colli di Parma. The winery has always decided to take the path of quality, with more contained yields and minimally invasive agronomic practices, attentive and respectful of the environmental system. All these precautions have contributed to the creation of a wine like Lambrusco “Marcello”, with a strong territorial , personal and characteristic imprint , which allows it to free itself from the homologated taste, the result of excessive technology. On the other hand, when tradition and love for the land become passion and art, a unique and generous expression is born, the daughter of the most authentic good drink in Emilia Romagna.
Marcello Lambrusco Dry comes from the vineyards overlooking the first hills of the Po Valley, rooted in silt-clayey soils between 220 and 300 meters above sea level. The terroir of the area is unique and rare, it presents the perfect conditions for growing grapes. The gentle slope favors optimal sun exposure and good soil drainage. The grapes of the Lambrusco Maestri variety can therefore ripen perfectly and develop a typical aromatic outfit. They are harvested and selected in the vineyard and gently transported to the cellar in order to keep all the precious juice intact. After a second sorting of the bunches, the pressing starts. The first fermentation in steel is followed by refermentation in the autoclaveaccording to the Charmat / Martinotti method. A few months of bottle aging and the wine is ready to sit at the table.
Marcello Grand Cru Lambrusco Spumante shows an intense ruby red with a rosy creamy mousse. It has a rich and intense foam and a fine and persistent perlage. Rich hints of fragrant, crunchy and juicy red fruits catch the eye. At first, it shows off a fruit salad of berries, cherries, pink grapefruit and pomegranate wrapped in floral notes of violet and pink. Followed by full of vinosity, mentholated echoes, scents of blood orange, puffs of undergrowth and hints of fresh herbs. The sip is direct, lively and snappy, driven by a synergistic freshness and a light sapid texture. The taste is pleasant, vital and greedy, with an irresistible drink, enlivened by a graceful and rich bubble. A bottle of great gastronomic versatility to spend on local and typical dishes of the Emilian tradition for an unforgettable experience!
